Only recently have scientists found a negative effect of swine flu vaccine on children. Finnish researchers have discovered that children who had been vaccinated against swine flue were greatly at risk of developing sleep-related disorders.

The National Narcolepsy Task Force looked at children aged 4 to 19 that were vaccinated using Pandemrix and found that the same children became up to nine times more vulnerable to the effects of narcolepsy as compared to test participants that were not vaccinated. Government sets the observation aside as being unsubstantial, citing other factors that may play a part in contributing to narcolepsy.

The researchers say they are not sure how many members belonging to the young age group received shots of Pandemrix vaccine. However, it was reported that around one-half of Finland’s population, numbering 5.3 million, were vaccinated during winter of the two previous years. Meanwhile, members of the group aged 5 to 15 years had been found to have the biggest increase in narcolepsy cases.
