Singapore Sleep Society launches sleep disorder awareness campaign
The Singapore Sleep Society will be organizing an awareness campaign for sleep disorder this coming March.
The awareness campaign will take place during Singapore Sleep Awareness Week (March 19 to 28). World Sleep Day is on March 19 and will be the opening day of the awareness campaign.
Sleep disorders have long been a problem of many individuals. The bad thing about it is, most cases are left untreated and even undiagnosed. Sleep disorders should not be taken lightly as studies have linked it to cardiovascular conditions and, in some occasions, even death.
The Singapore Sleep Society will attempt to change this with the Singapore Sleep Awareness Week. The campaign will include symposiums to educate people about the risks of sleep disorders. The organization will even launch a website, where people can pledge to sleep an hour more every night.
