Percy Harvin—a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings—collapsed during a team practice.
He is diagnosed with sleep apnea, a sleep disorder that is more or likely the primary cause of the collapse. Harvin was hospitalized after the incident, and reports say that his condition has been undergone successful treatment.
Since the treatment, his migraines have stopped. Migraines, which are a common symptom of sleep apnea, prevented Harvin from playing well on the field.
Now, he no longer has to worry about his condition. This is a fine example of how important diagnosis is for sleep disorders. They can’t be cured unless their identified!
If you’re experiencing sleep problems, it is best to consult your trusted medical practitioner as soon as possible.
