Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder that affects an estimated 2.5 million Americans.

This condition occurs when the upper airway becomes obstructed during breathing, resulting in a reduction in blood oxygen and increases in blood pressure and heart rate.
The condition is linked to cardiovascular complications, hypertension, and even stroke attacks.

The most common treatment for this sleep disorder is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP).

In most cases, this sleep disorder is left untreated. If you experience symptoms that indicate sleep disorder, then you should take yourself to a sleep clinic as soon as possible.

Here are some of the symptoms of sleep apnea:
•    Daytime drowsiness
•    Memory and concentration problems
•    Headaches
•    Paused breathing episodes
•    Snoring
