According to a US report, Americans who wake up grumpy are usually lack sleep.
A new report from the Harvard Medical School titled “Improving Sleep: A guide to a good night’s rest” explains how lack of sleep can affect a person’s health and disposition.
The study connects lack of sleep to cardiovascular complications, diabetes, obesity, and other health problems.
Majority of people who lack sleep have either insomnia or sleep apnea. Some, however, lose sleep due to late night activities—which become unhealthy when they are unregulated.
Sleep apnea poses serious risks. In fact, it is often linked to serious heart problems.
Statistics indicate that people with sleep apnea are highly susceptible to high-blood pressure, heart failure, and even strokes.
