The GateWay Community College will soon offer a certificate program for polysomnography technology, which analyzes sleep disorders.
The eight-month program will train students how to monitor and analyze patients with sleep disorders, like sleep apnea and insomnia.
Graduates can earn $42,509 to $80,300 annually, depending on the certification level and the years of experience. Students in the program will get hands-on training on campus and clinical experiences in local sleep centers.
The program will accept 20 students per session, and is only open for graduates of accredited respiratory care programs.
