Travel always comes with jet lag—which is a major inconvenience. Luckily, with advanced planning, travellers can avoid jet lag, ensuring the natural run of the body clock is preserved.

Medical research gives the following tips:
•    Four days before the flight, shift your eating and sleeping periods toward the pattern of the travel zone where you are going.
•    Hydrate and minimize the intake of stimulants—these affect the run of your biological clock.
•    On the plane, stretch and walk around.
•    Avoid sleeping at hours that are not appropriate with your destination’s time zone.
•    Upon arrival and over the next few days, get at least 30 minutes if healthy sun.

These simple tips can help minimize the effects of jet lag, which will be the ultimate difference between a healthy you and a sleepy you.
