The Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (SORCC) in White City introduced a new program last Thursday, the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder treatment for veterans.
SORCC says that PTSD center will have 15 full-time psychologists who will work with veterans, who have been diagnosed with mental health issues. About 20 percent of the veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from PTSD.
The condition’s primary symptoms include: anger, irritability, apathy, guilt, sleep problems, and lack of feelings—resulting in doses of drugs and alcohol.
