Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biotech company, has announced that it is in the early stages of research and development of a potential narcolepsy and cataplexy treatment.
Narcolepsy is a renowned sleep disorder that is characterized by excessive daytime drowsiness. A person with narcolepsy often falls asleep during daytime activities, like work and school.
The clinical trial will be conducted on 72 healthy adults.
